The first copy appeared in 1992
The first copy of The Yearbook of Gh. Zane lnstitute of Economic Researches, Jassy, was initiated by professor dr. Puiu Tacu Alecsandru and appeared in 1992. After 1998 the publication was edited into English and it also changed its name (YEARBOOK OF THE "GHEORGHE ZANE" INSTITUTE OF ECONOMIC RESEARCHES). The publication has an annual appearance and contains articles from various fields, such as: economy, management and business administration, marketing, merceology, banking and finances, insurances, accounting, economic cybernetics, statistics and economic forecast, and economic information. Numerous articles have approached issues with regard to the multi-criteria economic decisions taken under risk and instability conditions, decisions and fuzzy systems, and patterns of artificial intelligence with application in the economic processes. The articles are organized in the following chapters: The Flow of Ideas; Current Issues; Points of View, etc. The editorial board has always been interested in attracting and having in the team foreign professors and researchers who made significant contributions by providing important papers and being part of the editorial board. Here are some prestigious members of the editorial board, internationally-known personalities: Prof. JAIME Gil ALUJA, president of the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras (SPAIN) and member of honor of the Romanian Academy, Prof. MARIO PAGLIACCI from Perugia University (ITALY), Prof. HANS SCHJÆR-JACOBSEN from Copenhagen University College of Engineering (DENMARK).

The yearbook is an important source of information
This publication is also in pursuit of strengthening the traditional and international scientific relations with professors and researchers from the Republic of Moldavia, and consequently, Prof. Mihai Patraş from the Moldavian Academy of Economic Studies has been co-opted; he is a prize-winner of the Romanian Academy Prize for The Dictionary of Economic Terms, Romanian-English. The publication is a cardinal point for the scientific life because it is one of the only two economic magazines (the other one is The Yearbook of Gh. Zane lnstitute of Economic Researches, Jassy which has been continually edited) from a whole of nine publications edited by the Romanian Academy Editing House. The yearbook is an important source of information for education, research and practical purposes through the keen approach of some top fields of fundamental and practical economic research.
